Immunity Boosting Juice (A Hack To Get Rid of Your Cold Fast)

If you feel a cold coming on try this easy to make fruit and vegetable juice. It has immunity boosting properties that will give your body the nutrients and energy it needs to fight off colds and keep you feeling energized. Not only is this juice packed with the good stuff your body needs but most importantly it tastes great!

What Will I Need?

1) A decent juicer. I have the Joe Cross juicer but any quality juice extractor will work.
2) 2 beets
3) 4-8 carrots. (I find that using 6 is just enough for one cup)
4) 2 handfuls of spinach
5) A small piece of ginger
6) Half of a starfruit (you may substitute this with a slice of pineapple)


Beets provide a myriad of health benefits. They have been scientifically proven to lower blood pressure and promote healthy blood flow because they are high in nitric oxide. They prevent anemia and aid in iron consumption due to their significant amount of vitamin C. Beets also promote liver detoxification.


Carrots are a great source of antioxidants. Carrots also have a signficant source of fiber which can help aid in digestion. A strong digestive system is vital to maintaining optimal health. Carrots are abundant in beta-carotene. Studies have shown that consuming 2.7 milligrams of beta-carotene every day can reduce the risk of cancer by 40 percent.


Spinach is a an excellent source of such vitamins as K, A, C, B2, B6, and E, and it’s also rich in potassium, magnesium, folate, iron, calcium, iodine, phosphorus, zinc, copper, fiber, healthy omega-3 fats, and protein. Remember Popeye the cartoon character who ate nothing but spinach and had super strength? No coincidence here.


Ginger is very beneficial in regulating digestion. All disease begins in the gut so having a healthy digestion system is vital to your well being. Gingerol, the bioactive substance in fresh ginger, can help lower the risk of infections.

Useful tips when juicing

Dilute the juice with some water. (about a 1 to 4 ratio)
Try to drink it within 15 minutes of making it as the live nutrients will be the most potent.
Feel free to add protein powder for some protein.
